Beluga Whale Training Live from Sea Life Trust Beluga Whale Sanctuary

EPISODE 23: September 3, 2020

In this episode, Ken Ramirez was joined by Jessica Whiton live from Sea Life Trust Beluga Whale Sanctuary in Iceland. We got an inside look at some of the training being done to acclimate Little White and Little Grey to their newer environment within the bay. Both whales participated in a live training demonstration, with Jessica showing how she is preparing Grey for voluntary blood-draws. Ken and Jessica shared a unique training protocol that allows an animal to indicate when they do not want to participate in training, with a live demo from Marlin.
