The alpacas are comfortable in their social group and become nervous if separated. However, separation is sometimes necessary, including for medical behaviors, so it's important to set up the alpacas for success through training. Recently we tried a new way of working with a single alpaca but keeping that alpaca with the group. It proved to be a promising start! We'll keep you posted on our progress!
