From One Reward to the Next
Seamlessness in Your Agility Training

A Guest at The Ranch Workshop

March 21 - 22, 2020

The Ranch welcomes the ever-inspiring dynamic duo from Sweden, and the authors of the cornerstone competition book, Agility Right from the Start, Eva Bertilsson & Emelie Johnson Vegh!

How do you set up a great training session, with clean loops, that keeps you moving forward from one reward to the next? How do you get rid of (or better yet, never encounter) the zoomies, the velcro dog, and the creeping start line stay? Eva, Emelie, and legendary teacher and trainer Ken Ramirez are teaming up for a special, one-time-only integrated weekend workshop to address these questions and more!

Agility trainers of all levels will benefit from this seminar, and all learners will be active participants training seamless behaviors. With multiple hours of experiential opportunities each day, every learner will play an integral role at the workshop—whether working his/her own dog; actively participating in coaching, data-collection, collaborative discussion, or small team work; or developing skills through guided observation.

In addition to the hands-on opportunities, this workshop will feature demonstrations with dogs and Ranch resident animals, thought-provoking discussions, presentations, and Q&A.

Will what works for a dog also work for a goat? And, how do you set up animals of all species to succeed? Join us and find out!

Dog/Handler Team Requirements

Dogs will have long days at The Ranch workshops. They will need to be able to focus and work confidently for food in close quarters around other working teams. There will also be a lot of down time, and dogs will need to be comfortable waiting patiently in the car between working sessions.

Teams should have some basic clicker training experience and tangible reinforcers (treats, toys) that the dogs will work for in this environment, as well as some agility experience (such as jumps and tunnels).

This course is limited to 18 dog/handler and 29 learner spots, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Dog/handler spots are sold out, but there are limited learner spots available!

Dog/Handler spots are sold out. Join the Dog/Handler wait list.
