The alpacas have been sheared and are now ready for the hot summer ahead! Watch as Ken does a training session with the alpacas two hours after the shearing – they came running to participate! This is an example of the benefit of separating training sessions from uncomfortable medical procedures – a key component in the husbandry training process that Ken teaches at The Ranch. With positive reinforcement the relationship is strong and can quickly overcome a less than ideal experience.
